Welcome to Mr Thornes Phonics Myths & Legends.

This app is aimed at older children who are struggling with reading due to gaps in their phonic knowledge. This app may also be used be younger children and adults. Earn points by completing the phonics games and discover dragons, sea serpents, mermaids and other mythical creatures along the way!

This phonics app from Mr Thorne is the 19th educational app overall since the hugely successful Mr Thorne Does Phonics video series on Youtube which has had over 10 million viewers in the last 8 years.

The app has been created by Mr Thorne, a current UK primary teacher making it relevant and useful to children, parents, teachers, trainee teachers and anyone learning to read English. Mr Thorne Does Phonics is designed to meet the demands of the Year One Phonics Screening tests for 5 and 6 year olds in schools. The app features 4 games to help with sound recognition, word recognition, phoneme to grapheme correspondence and grapheme to phoneme correspondence.
